Vendor (Dealer's Den and Artist's Alley) Rules
Communications
Please use an email address that you check regularly when applying, as this will be our primary method of contacting you. We are not responsible for the consequences of lost or unreceived emails. If you're expecting an email from us, make sure you check your Junk/Spam folder, and add dealers@furlandia.org as a trusted contact.
It is your responsibility to keep an eye on your email. We will send out several messages on our social media (Telegram, Bluesky, Instagram, etc.), as well as our website, letting you know when deadlines are approaching. If you don't get any response, whether accepted, rejected, or waitlisted, by the timeline mentioned once applications close, please email with any questions/concerns.
You may hand out flyers, but you must get approval from Con Ops to post flyers on the walls.
Membership
Everyone who is present at Furlandia must have a paid membership. For dealers and artists this is in addition to the table fee.
Upon going through the application process, you will be prompted to select an attendance membership, however no payment is required unless your application is approved. Once the table is approved, you'll receive further instructions.
If you have a table assistant, your assistant must also have a paid membership.
Logistics
Dealer's Den set-up is scheduled for Thursday, and tear-down is scheduled for Sunday evening. Specific times will be announced prior to the event. Furlandia staff are generally unable to help you carry items or assist with set up or tear down.
Displays and merchandise may remain on Dealer's Den tables overnight at your own risk. The entry doors will be locked; however, Furlandia cannot guarantee security.
Artist's Alley set-up is in the morning, and tear-down is in the evening. Artist's Alley tables must be completely cleared at the end of each day.
You are responsible for keeping your area tidy and presentable, and cleaning up after yourself each day. Aisles must be kept free of tripping hazards, both in front of your table and behind.
Due to restrictions by the hotel, food and drink are not allowed at the Dealer's Den or Artist's Alley tables.
Tables are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Subletting, or sharing your table with another dealer, is strictly prohibited.
Content Rules
Everything you sell or display must be your own work. AI-generated products are NOT permitted.
Everything you display openly must be rated PG-13 or lower.
You must ensure customers are of legal age before showing them adult materials.
An item is not PG-13 if it:
- Contains exposed genitalia or representations thereof
- Depicts a sexual act
- Depicts realistic violence where the victim is shown to be severely injured
- Depicts any other content that is unsuitable for younger viewers as determined by law
Items whose possession, sale, or transportation across state borders constitutes a criminal act are strictly prohibited. Possession, sale, or display or any such item will result in immediate expulsion from Furlandia and referral to law enforcement.
Dealer's Den staff have final authority on what constitutes acceptable content in the Dealer's Den. Decisions can be appealed to the Dealer's Den lead, then to the Furlandia Business Executive.
Business License
Dealers and Artists are responsible for obtaining a temporary business license from the City of Portland. Furlandia does not need a copy of the license.
