Dealers' Den Rules —

Back to Dealers' Den page

What is a furry convention without a Dealers' Den! Whether you are an up-and-coming artist or a returning veteran, all are welcome to apply!

As anyone who has visited Furlandia will know, our Dealers' Den is one of the highlights of the convention. As always, the success of the Dealers' Den relies on our exhibitors, be they traditional or digital artists, fursuit makers, or authors, to name a few!

Why Should You Apply For Dealers' Den at Furlandia?

First and foremost, you'll get a chance to share and sell your creations with the community in a friendly and welcoming environment. Situated in an easy-to-find location within convention space, our Dealers' Den has plenty of foot traffic throughout the con, giving you a chance to network, promote commission slots, and of course, meet other creators too!

In addition, dealers will be mentioned in our con book and on our website, with links to your own website or social media profiles.

Table Sizes

Because there are so many different types of creators who want to exhibit at Furlandia in the Dealers' Den, we offer two different sizes of table to cater to everyone's budgets and needs, with a third option specifically aimed towards commissions only.

  • Half Table: (3 x 2.5 ft)
  • Full Table: (6 x 2.5 ft)
  • Foyer Half Table: (3 x 2.5 ft)

Table sizes are limited based on the number of applicants and the preferences of the dealers applying to be part of the Dealers' Den. Space is limited (we can't make the hotel bigger) so be sure to apply as early as possible for a Dealers' Den table.

There are 6 half tables and 5 foyer half tables available for 2019. The foyer half tables are in the Dealers Den foyer area, next to the Con Store and our Charity table, and are targeted specifically toward commission artists/vendors who don't need space for product/inventory. There are 26 full tables in the Dealers Den.

Rules

Fill out the application to apply for a space in Dealers' Den.

Please use an email address that you check regularly when applying, as this will be our primary method of contacting you. We are not responsible for the consequences of lost or unreceived emails. If you're expecting an email from us, make sure you check your Junk/Spam folder, and add dealers@furlandia.org as a trusted contact.

You must pre-register for at least an Attending membership to apply for a Dealers' Den table. This membership is in addition to table fees if your application is approved. Tables are non-transferrable and table fees are non-refundable.

You may have a table assistant. Your assistant must also have a paid membership. Subletting, or sharing your table with another dealer, is not permitted.

Please don't hang up flyers in the hotel. Feel free to hand out flyers. If you like, you may distribute copies of the Dealers' Den map with your table marked.

Furlandia staff cannot help you carry items, set up, tear down, or watch your belongings.

Please clean up after yourself each day, and especially when you tear down at the end of the convention.

It is your responsibility to keep an eye on your email. We will send out several messages on our Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as our website, letting you know when deadlines are approaching. If you don't get any response, whether accepted, rejected, or waitlisted, by the timeline mentioned once applications close, please feel free to email dealers@furlandia.org with any questions/concerns.

Content Rules

  • Everything you sell or display must be your own work.
  • Everything you display openly must be rated PG-13 or lower.

You may show adult material to individual attendees after checking to ensure that they are of legal age to view adult materials.

An item is not PG-13 if it:

    • Contains exposed genitalia or representations thereof
    • Depicts a sexual act
    • Depicts realistic violence where the victim is shown to be severely injured
    • Depicts any other content that is unsuitable for younger viewers as determined by federal or state law

Items whose possession, sale, or transportation across state borders constitutes a criminal act are strictly prohibited. Possession, sale, or display or any such item will result in immediate removal from the Dealers Den and a disciplinary meeting with the Chair or Business Executive.

Dealers Den staff have final authority on what constitutes acceptable content in the Dealers Den. Decisions can be appealed to the Dealers Den lead, then to the Furlandia Business Executive.

We are looking forward to a fantastic Dealers' Den this year! Thank you ALL for your incredible artistry!
