What is Furlandia?

Furlandia is a furry convention, where enthusiasts of anthropomorphic animal-people gather to celebrate the art and media that is at the heart of our community.

Where is the event being held?

The event is at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel, same as prior years.

How do I attend Furlandia?

By pre-registering on our website or by purchasing a badge at the event. Pre-registration ends April 30, 2025.

Do I need a furry animal costume to attend?

No, a fursuit is not required. Only about 1 in 6 of our attendees have such costumes.

Do I need to book a room at the hotel?

No, booking a hotel guest room is optional.

Note that sleeping in hallways, event spaces, common areas, or parking lots is strictly prohibited.

Will my badge be mailed to me?

Returning attendees who pre-register will have the option to have their badges mailed to them rather than wait in line. First-time attendees will need to pick up their badges from the registration desk. Note that any add-on items purchased at the time of pre-registration (shirts, etc.) will be held on-site for pickup and will not be mailed.

How can I find a roommate or carpool?

The best way to find a room-share or ride-share is through Telegram, either in the Furlandia group or in the generic FurconRoomies group.

WARNING: there have been scammers targeting furry cons. The hotel will not bill anyone until check-in, so if you are arranging to share a room with someone you do not know, do not pay them in advance.

Does the convention have a dealer / vendor area?

Yes. Applications are competitive. Please see our Dealers page.

Does the convention have a costumer’s lounge?

Yes. Access is restricted to those in costume and their assistant. Cooling fans, drinking water, and basic costume repair supplies are available. Changing rooms and storage lockers are not provided.

Is there a place to store my belongings?

The hotel bellhop offers luggage storage to those who are checking in or out of the hotel. The convention itself does not offer storage.

Is the Wi-Fi free?

Yes.

Is parking free?

Yes. Note that parking on-site is limited and first-come, first-served.

Can I smoke marijuana while at Furlandia?

No. Although legal under Oregon law, the Airport Sheraton is under Federal jurisdiction, therefore possession or use of marijuana is strictly prohibited. Violation will result in removal from the hotel and forfeiture of your convention membership.

Tobacco products may be smoked or vaped only in designated areas outside the hotel.
