COVID-19 Safety Policies and Procedures

Please be aware that, due to the rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, specific items in this policy are subject to change to align with federal, state, local, and convention center or hotel guidelines. Please check this page regularly or follow us on social media for updates to these policies and procedures.

If you feel sick, please stay home!

Vaccination

You must have completed an initial COVID-19 vaccine series (both doses of a two-dose series such as Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna, or the one dose of a one-dose vaccine such as Johnson&Johnson) to attend Furlandia 2022.

While we will not require boosters, we recognize their substantial benefit and strongly encourage you to receive a booster before attending Furlandia if you are able.

We will check your proof of vaccination along with your photo ID at the cashier when you register on-site or pick up your pre-registration. We will accept originals, photographs, photocopies, and digital records.

Making, causing to be made, or using false or misleading documents or claims regarding one's vaccination status is a violation of our Code of Conduct. Because of the elevated risk that this poses to public health and safety, anyone found to be attempting to circumvent this policy may receive a lifetime ban.

Masks

With the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Multnomah County, for your protection and the safety of other attendees and our staff, masks are required inside convention spaces (panel rooms, gaming room, Dealers' Den, and theater). The only time we will need you to temporarily remove your mask is at registration, so that we can match your ID.

We understand that you may have difficulty breathing when wearing a mask under your fursuit head. If you know you can safely wear a mask under your fursuit head, please feel free to do so; otherwise, we encourage you to use your best judgment.

Because the Oregon statewide mask mandate has been lifted, please bear in mind that there will be hotel guests who are not attending Furlandia in public spaces of the hotel, such as the Garden foyer (registration), lobbies, and pool, and that they may or may not be wearing masks. We will not require you to wear a mask in the hotel's public spaces. If you prefer to wear a mask outside of convention spaces, please feel free to do so.

Please see the county recommendation for more information.

Physical distancing

Please try to maintain 6 feet (2 meters) of distance from others, especially when you are around people you don't live with.

We will have reduced room capacity for several convention features:

Please watch this page for changes. With how things keep changing from day to day, we at Furlandia will do our best to keep you informed.
